KATHMANDU, Nepal-With an aim to enhance learning power of the students especially in the sector of science and environment, the government of Nepal is planning to establish at least one Science Learning Center in all five development regions.
Such center to be set up in each community school of those region as a model project are believed to provide environment education to students through the use of practical knowledge and specific scientific equipments available at the center.
Gokarna Mani Duwadi, spokesperson at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment expressed confidence that the center would help boost the scientific knowledge of students and would offer environmental education at school levels.
Various programmes related to environment conservation would be held in 75 districts and entire five development region all the year as a campaign and the Department of Environment under the Ministry has been set up for this purpose.
