KATHMANDU, Nepal– With foreign tourists being cheated in different parts of the country, the Tourist Police Division has registered an increasing number of complaints of robbery and fraud.
According to National News Agency RSS, nearly 134 complaints and grievances related to fraud and robbery are found to have been registered at the Division during the first two months of the current fiscal year. A total of 984 complaints were filed in the fiscal year of 2013-2-14.
Sub Inspector of the Division Prakash Wagle said most of the cases registered are theft of mobile, laptop and luggage and fraud with tourists.
Mainly, the foreign tourists are found to have been cheated in and around Thamel, Basantapur and Bhaktapur, according to the police.
