(English) Govt vows to offer financial aid to avalanche victims’ kin

KATHMANDU, Nepal–The government has decided to provide financial aid to the kin of the mountaineers who were killed in the avalanche that occurred at the Mt Everest Base Camp on April 18.

Government spokesman Dr Minendra Rijal Wednesday announced to provide finiancial aid to the kin of climbers who were swept away by Avalanche. However, Minister  Rijal did not mention about the amount to be offered to the family members of the late mountaineers.

However, the kin of the family members have been complaining that government is showing apathy to their demands. Sixteen Sherpa guides and staffs were killed in the avalanche.
