KATHMANDU, Nepal–Chitwan National Park has been enlisted in “The 35 Most Amazing National Parks in the World.”

Located in the western province of Nepal, nearly 150 kilometer south of the capital Kathmandu, the park secured 19th position among 35 amazing park in the world.

“Chitwan National Park offers exotic animals: cloud leopards, monkeys, and one of the highest concentrations of Bengal tigers in the world”, hoffingtonpost writes describing the features of the park located in Chitwan district.

The park is much famous for Jungle safari for which hundreds of domestic and foreign tourists visit daily. Referring to its fame for safari, the portal further writes, “Can you imagine a better place for your first safari?

Established in 1973 and granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984. It covers an area of 932 square. It is one of the oldest parks in the country.

In the meantime, the CNP has come up with new plan to make the park neat and clean.

The park administration has launched a plastic bags free campaign, a move that will help to lessen plastic related pollution inside the park.

The campaign was launched on the occasion of the World Environment Day, the park administration informed.

The parks officials have stressed the need of support from all sectors in the campaign launched by the Park.

Of late, the Park has offered half million rupees as compensation to 50 children of those injured and killed in wild life attack.
