(English) Youths missing in Dhaulari trekking route for ten days

KATHMANDU, Nepal–Three youths, who had on a trekking of Round Dhaulari in Myagdi, have gone missing for the past 10 days.

Bibek Thapa, Bishnu Panta and Sachham Thapa of Kathmandu, who had gone for trekking, are out of contact, National News Agency RSS reports quoting District Police Office, Myagdi.

Police Inspector Indra Kumar Adhikari said that the youths had on the trekking route via Darbang on May 21.

The incident came into light after the family members of the youth informed it to police.

A police team deployed from Darbang is heading towards the base camp carryout search for them.

Attempts to search the missing youths by their family members at Mustang section of the trekking route using chopper have gone futile.

Dhaulari trekking is a long difficult trek around Dhaulagiri which starts from Beni. The route follows the Myagdi Khola west-wards to Darbang, then turns north through lowland forests into the high country.
