Injured alpinist airlifted to Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Nepal–An American climber who sustained serious injuries after falling into a fissure at camp 2 of Mt Himlung in Annapurna region has been airlifted to Kathmandu, Tuesday morning.

Sujan Bhattarai of Himalayan Ecstasy, local partner of the expedition, confirmed a private helicopter rescued Prof. John All who suffered serious injuries on his arms and ribs, along with internal bleeding is now receiving treatment at Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu. Hospital sources said John is out of danger.
