(English) Tourism Ministry mulling over to purchase two dozen carriers

nepal-goverment22KATHMANDU, Nepal– Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) is planning to purchase 22 carriers within the next five years.

At a time the only international airport Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) is witnessing congestion, Tourism Minister Bhim Acharya during a public programme informed that the government has a plan of purchasing seven wide size aircraft for international flights and 15 for domestic flights within five years.

According to him international airports are necessary to boost country’s tourism business. In the meantime, the government is giving priority for constructing three new international airports.
