KATHMANDU, Nepal- Trekking Agency Association of Nepal (TAAN), an umbrella organization of trekking operators in the country has restructured its working committee through election.
Ramesh Prasad Dhamala has been elected chairman of the TAAN defeating his rival Jangbu Sherpa in the election held Friday evening.
Dhamala panel has won in all the posts in the election of the 17-member working committee.
Likewise, the senior vice chairman, first vice chairman, second vice chairman has been named Keshav Pandey, Kamirinji Sherpa and Kul Bahadur Gurung.
While Sagar Pandey has been elected as general secretary, Pasang Sherpa, Gopalbabu Shrestha and Tilak Bahadur Thapamagar were elected in the post of secretary, treasurer and assistant treasurer respectively.
Similarly, the members are Gokul Sapkota, Palsang Tamang, Pasang Tendi Sherpa, Nawaraj Gauli, Ang Temba Sherpa, Rajendra Sapkota, Nilhari Banstola, Meghnath Timsina and Dhan Prasad Gurung.
