Weather too adverse for flights following incessant rainfall and rain-damaged roads have break up the eastern hill district of Solukhumbu from the rest of the nation. The suspension of flights and disrupted highway has soared the prices of daily commodities. The banking sectors too have also been hit hard as financial institutions operating in the district have been unable to collect funds from the Capital Kathmandu. Some airlines operating flight in the district have stopped service citing poor visibility.
