Shah begins GHT tour to promote tourism

KATHMANDU, Nepal-With an attempt to conserve greenery and promote tourism, World’s cyclist Pushkar Shah has begun a cycle tour of Great Himalayan Trail (GHT). Keeping in mind the GHT’s fame for trekking route worldwide, Shah started the journey Thursday.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ram Kumar Shrestha handed over a cycle to Shah amidst a programme in Kathmandu.  Aiming to attract commoner towards pollution free vehicles and develop tourism as per the concept of responsible tourism, Shah is going to initiate the journey. Shah has aimed to accomplish 100 kms journey from Darchula to Taplejung within two weeks.

On the occasion Minister Shrestha lauded Shah’s initiation. Shah has been playing a key role since a decade to promote the tourism of the nation. Various organizations in Nepal have been taking initiations to boost country’s tourism organizing various programs across the nation.

Shah has left for zereo kilometer in Kavree district.

Paddling his bicycle up to more than two hundred twenty one thousand Kilo meters, Shah has successfully traveled 150 countries in his 11 years of restless journey.
