KATHMANDU, Nepal–With a view to promote Lwang Ghalel and Ghachok area of Kaski district as a center for adventure tourism, a canyoning exploration event has been carried out recently in the district, located in the western province of Nepal.
Organized by the Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) Pokhara Chapter, the event witnessed many representatives working in the fields of adventure and travel/ tourism sectors.
The five-day event organized in the initiation of Nepal Canyoning Association (NCA) was promoted by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Annapurna Area Conservation Project (ACAP), Kaski.
On the occasion, the representative of travel tour organization stressed the need to promote the area as celebrated canyoning site. They also expressed confidence that the programme would help bring in more adventure tourists to Pokhara.
With the mounting attractions of domestic and international tourists towards the site, the locals are learnt to have preparing to open home stay facilities in the area.
