KATHMANDU, Nepal–A Chinese tourist died of high altitude sickness at Khumjung of Solukhumbu district in eastern part of the country, Thursday morning.
Ouyaang Ruitian, 32, who reached Khumjung alone from the capital died at around 4:00 am at a hotel where he was staying in.
He was taken ill since Wednesday afternoon. The Chinese Embassy in the capital has confirmed about his death. Ruitian was learnt to be arrived in Nepal without taking the services of travel agency.
Earlier, locals had made fruitless attempt to save him through homeopathic treatment, a police source said quoting local villagers.
