NAC resumes domestic flights after two weeks of gap

KATHAMNDU, Nepal-The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is preparing to resume its domestic flights from Monday with the new engines arriving two days ago.

The domestic operation of the national flag carrier had cut off after a single operating Twin Otter aircraft grounded citing snag in its engine on October 12.

According to Ganesh Bahadur Chand, spokesperson at NAC, the flight will resume by Monday as the new engine of Twin Otter have already arrived at the customs point. He informed that NAC will operate the flights as scheduled after putting in the engine which will take a couple of days and prepare the aircraft for operation.

The domestic travelers are facing tough times due to the closure of its all domestic flights especially during the festive seasons.

The NAC has sent six engines for maintenance and was compelled to curtail the domestic flights as the engines sent for repairs did not arrive for two weeks.

Currently, NAC has been rendering international air services through its two aircrafts.
