Luxurious vehicle facilities for tourists
KATHMANDU, Nepal- In a bid to promote tourism by providing luxurious vehicular facilities for the foreign and domestic tourists, a company has been established here.
Visit Nepal Vehicle Services that aims to serve the tourists with comfortable transport facilities commenced its services from Friday, June 28, 2013.
Inaugurating the operation of the services, Sushil Ghimire, Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, said the number of quality tourists should be increased for the sustainable development of the tourism sector.
Stating that the uncomfortable and old vehicles would kill the enthusiasm among the tourists to visit, Ghimire said, the government is working to replace all the vehicles at the services in Tribhuvan International Airport in the first phase.
Shiva Adhikary, managing director of the company said that the company has launched the project to provide quality service to the tourists. “We have launched the project of vehicle to serve tourists with quality transportation,” said Adhikary, adding that the ten percent income from the services would be used for the welfare of the poor and needy in the country every year.
The company has planned to bring 153 vehicles into operation along with an ambulance services with 140 in lease and 13 on its own costs.
