KATHMANDU, Nepal-Eventually, Nepali film actress and television presenter Nisha Adhikari has successfully reached the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest on Tuesday morning. Thanks to Nisha for the gigantic heart. According to an official at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Adhikari with her team reached the peak at 8 am this morning.
With this success, Adhikari has also became the world’s first television presenter to summit the world’s highest peak.
Actress Adhikari and actor Arjun Karki had left for the base camp on April 9 carrying the theme of ‘Save Yourself by Saving Nature’. Actor Karki had stepped on the summit on Monday.
Their Everest drive was dragged into great dispute after it was discovered that they did not get the license to scale the peak and were taken only as high altitude workers.
The dispute was later resolved after the Ministry elucidated that their expedition drive does not go against the climbing rules.
There are twelve members in their team. The team is likely to return back to Kathmandu tomorrow (Wednesday).
