KATHMANDU, Nepal–With the cleanup of their habitats, the bird species have been at risk, stated a report recently made public by the Department of National Park and Wildlife Conservation and Bird Protection Association. Some 150 species of bird are under threat, the report read.
According to bird protection expert Khadananda Poudel, the main reasons behind gradual disappearance of bird species are population growth followed by rising deforestation and timber smuggling.
Experts warned that rampant use of modern technology has also posed threat to the existence of birds. According to them, a type of radiation emerges from the use of modern technology cause shortening the lifespan of birds.
