(English) Massive snowfall hit rescue operation in Everest

KATHMANDU, Nepal–The search and rescue operation for the mountaineers who have gone missing due to massive avalanche in Mount Everest have been hit hard due to heavy snowfall.

Officials at the Tourism Ministry informed that the rescue operation has been adversely affected following snowfall causing disturbance to trace the avalanche hit site.

Rescuers are learnt to have holding a meeting with experts and seasoned Sherpas, who are familiarized with the dangerous areas in Everest, to prepare a strategy carrying on rescue operation.
