Nepali embassy in India discusses tourism opportunities

KATHMANDU, Nepal- The Nepali Embassy in New Delhi, India has organized a seminar on “Tourism, Trade and Investment Opportunities in Nepal” in the Indian city of Chennai.

The seminar was organized in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI), according to a press release issued by the embassy.

On the occasion, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the embassy Khaga Nath Adhikari highlighted the close economic and cultural links between the people of Nepal and India. Focusing on the mutual socio-economic gains from hydropower development in Nepal, Adhikari also made a detailed presentation on “Hydropower Potentials in Nepal”.

He further encouraged the business community from South India to explore the new areas of interests for bilateral business opportunities.

The program was also followed by lively interactions. The seminar is expected to contribute to further promoting Nepal-India business relations.
