KATHMANDU, Nepal- A 26-year-old woman from Jhapa, an eastern district gave birth to quadruplets in Biratnagar on Thursday. Deepa Bhattarai gave birth to three baby boys and one baby girl at once at Nobel Medical College of Biratnagar.
Deepa had undergone a caesarean to give birth to her babies.
All newborns, who were born in just 28 weeks, are under-weight. Although three newborns have no health complications, one is suffering from respiratory problem.
All of them have been admitted to NICU of the hospital. According to the hospital the babies will be admitted in the hospital for the next one month.
Deepa had undergone miscarriage when she became pregnant for the first time two years ago.
Meanwhile, Ghanashyam Bhattarai, father of the quadruplets, has said he is worried about the future of the babies. “Since our economic status is not very good, I am worried how to look after all the babies,” he said.
