Locals construct five kilometer trekking routes in Mustang

KATHMANDU, Nepal-A five-kilometer-long new trekking route linking Lete of Mustang through Piple of Myagdi district has been constructed at the initiations of the locals, report from Mustang said.

Locals contributed their labour while Trekking Agencies of Nepal (TAN), Western Regional Chapter, Kaski financial assisted the route.

According to Dhruba Kumar Paija, chairperson of Dhaulagiri Icefall Trekking Route Management Committee, the route was constructed along the most difficult area with the financial assistance of Rs 200,000.

In the meantime, trekkers hope that the new route with slates will ease foreigners and guide during their trekking.
