Journalists leave for world tour to make Nepal known

KATHMANDU, Nepal- Chairman of the ‘Enlighten the World Campaign’ (ENWOCAM) Nepal, Nawaraj Bhattarai and General Secretary Narayan Prasad Bhattarai left here Monday in their campaign to make the Nepal known in the world and for the free press.

The campaigners were on the second phase of their visit to the world that aimed at promoting press freedom and what they call ‘positive journalism’ around the globe.

According a press communiqué published by the organization, earlier, journalist duo had visited all the 75 districts of the country with the slogan of ‘Press freedom and positive journalism,’ and brought out a book ‘Nepal Bhraman Ka 730 Din’ (730 days of Nepal tour) and a ‘Nepal Darshan’ documentary.

They are leaving for Sikkim, India, from Kakadbhitta, the eastern entry point of Jhapa district with the plan of screening and interacting on the ‘Nepal Darshan’ documentary in their second phase world tour.

They said that hey are visiting other states of India and SAARC countries as well as other countries of the world during the tour.

ENWOCAM-Nepal has called one and all including government, mass media, civil society and persons and organizations at home and abroad to cooperate in their campaign started to make Nepal known in the world.
