Nepalese tourism product promoted in Uttar Pradesh

KATHMANDU, Nepal-In a bid to increase awareness and educate North Indian travelers on Nepalese tourism products, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Paschimanchal Hotel Association, Pokhara, jointly organized a three-city Border Town Sales Mission 2013.

The sales mission was organized in Varanasi, Allahabad and Faizabad of Uttar Pradesh in India on June 25, 26 and 27, respectively, states the NTB press release.

‘The sales mission comprised of a contingent of 30 hoteliers and tour operators from Pokhara and Bhairahawa to encourage North Indian travellers to visit Nepal in the summer holiday season,’ the release further reads

The programme was held  with the slogan ‘Chaliye Pokhara’. On the occasion,  Indian tour operators and media expressed their keen interest and commitment to promote Nepal as the first  destination for North Indian travellers.

With the fast growing economy of Uttar Pradesh, it is a highly potential travel market for Nepali tourism industry, according to the release.
