On the day son and daughters see the face of their mother and offer various delicacies including food stuffs, sweets and other gifts.
The day is celebrated as a moment to express gratitude towards mother for her never-ending love towards her children.
In the Nepalese society, it is the day where a mother is valued and respected for her love, intimacy, responsibilities, challenges and all her deeds for being a mother. It is the day where the son and daughters can show their respect, love and duty towards their mom.
