KATHMANDU, Nepal–The Weather Research and Forecast with Chemistry (WRF-Chem) Tutorial – Training Workshop for Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) region is going to be held at ICIMOD headquarters in Kathmandu, Nepal, from 1st June.
The six days workshop will be sponsored by International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS), Germany, within the framework of the project “Sustainable Atmosphere for the Kathmandu Valley” (SusKat), according to ICIMOD.
SusKat has been initiated by ICIMOD and IASS to conduct a comprehensive assessment of various aspects of air pollution in the Himalayas region, and in particular the Kathmandu Valley.
“The Tutorial has been developed to meet the needs of the HKH region, and will be delivered by experts from National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) with high experiences on the WRF-Chem Tutorial”, a statement by ICIMID reads
