Thomas was reportedly last seen at Dingboche, a popular hub for trekkers and climbers headed to Mt Everest, Ama Damlam and Imja Tse of Solukhumbu district on April 21. He stayed in Snowland Hotel at Dingboche on April 20 however the owner did not find him after two days when unlocked the room.
A team of police headed by a sub-inspector has been deployed in the Everest region to search for the missing foreigner, according to police.
Police have recovered Rs 27,000 and more than a thousand US dollars from his room. On April 25-26, a helicopter was deployed to search for him, with the son of the Slovak honorary consul in Kathmandu on board.
It was Thomas’s third trip to Nepal, as part of a bike ride around the world. He had started his bike journey more than a year ago and has accomplished over 15,000 km.
