Lead Climbing Competition kicks off

KATHMANDU, Nepal – The second IFSC National Open Lead Climbing Competition has kicked off Tuesday at Himalaya Climbing & Training Centre Balaju in Kathmandu.

The competition organized by the National Mountaineering Association (NMA), will stretch over two days.

According to the organizer, the competition, will be held under the rules and regulations of International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC).

In the two day event, the competitors will climb along a route designed and set by the route setter, and attempt to reach the top, which in climbing terms, is in the end of the route.

The NMA has collected the application from the interested candidates by registering their name by December 22, 2013 at NMA, Naxal & Astrek Wall Climbing, Thamel by paying Rs 1000.
