KATHMANDU, Nepal–Shailee Basnet, coordinator of Seven Summits Women Team, said they will conquer the remaining two peaks – Denali in North America and Vincent Massif in Anatarctica within a year.

Speaking at a programme organized by Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) in the capital Kathmandu, coordinator Basnet said the Seven Summits Women Team team has been working hard to introduce Nepal in the international arena.

In order to bring conceptual changes in Nepal and abroad through adventure sports, the team aims to climb all the seven highest peaks of the seven continents.

The team conquered Mt Aconcagua on 23rd Feb, 2014.

Basnet, coordinator of Seven Summits Women Team, also shared experiences of the team’s successful summit of Mt Aconcagua.

She also thanked TAAN for extending valuable support and cooperation to the team. “We have plans to complete the remaining two peaks – Denali in North America and Vincent Massif in Anatarctica within a year,” TAAN quoted Basnet as sayings.

She further informed that the team members have been invited to give keynote speech in different parts of the world. “We will promote Nepal and its tourism products and services in those forums,” Basnet added.

To bring about substantial changes, the Team with the motto ‘Together we reach higher’ has been promoting education, empowerment and environment in the national and international level.
