KATHMANDU, Nepal– With the theme “Financing Local Adaptation”, the 8th International conference on Community Based Adaptation (CBA) to Climate Change has kicked off in the Capital Kathmandu, Thursday.
The weeklong conference is being held in collaboration with International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS), Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) and the Secretariat of Climate Change Network Nepal.
The participants will share and discuss on the latest development in CBA financing, planning and best practices of different sectors and communities in different countries.
Participants will make field visits different parts of the country where local adaptation activities are being implemented.
Similarly, they will also discuss on ways to enhance the capacity of the most vulnerable groups and people and , improve their livelihoods.
